Max Mobility - Interface Design

Project Challenge: {analysis}

Max Mobility came to Sodium Halogen with solution to a problem. They wanted to design a piece of software that will help people in wheelchairs be properly fitted for their new chair (Sit Kit). So that was the solution, but the problem was that they needed to have it ready to show at a trade show event in 3 weeks time!

They knew what they wanted the application to do, but needed it professionally designed and built to run in flash. The application needed to be drop dead easy to use and walk the wheelchair outfitter through the process step by step.

Project Solution: {hypothesis}

William Donnell (lead designtist) sat down with Max Mobility and set out a timeline of what had to be done by which day to make it all happen. Sodium Halogen helped them map out each page on paper with pencil sketches and help iron out problems before the elements were designed or implemented. This saved money, but even more important- it saved valuable time.

Sodium Halogen designed the interface and buttons for the applicaton and acted as a liason between Max Mobility and the flash application developer.

Project Results: {designtific conclusion}

The project was done in time to showcase at the tradeshow, and was such a hit that Sit Kit became the talk of the entire trade show. Mark has since hired Sodium Halogen to help design the interface for a treadmill designed for people in wheelchairs.

Here is what Mark had to say,
"Sodium Halogen has become a crucial part of our design team, offering graphics and web design support for our ongoing product R&D activities. They were instrumental in the design of the user interface for both the SitKit wheelchair fitting system and the OptiPush wheelchair treadmill. They have proven themselves to be capable, creative and efficient. I would highly recommend them to anyone.”
